About Emma Southern
I am a Natural Reiki Practitioner and Teacher based in Brighton, UK. I practise both distant healing and in person healing. I am trained in mindfulness, self-compassion and meditation also.
I stumbled across Natural Reiki when I was pregnant with my second child in 2004, having no idea then, that it would completely change my life and outlook on life for the better. I signed up for a Reiki 1 course never having had Reiki myself before or even heard of Reiki. In at the deep end, sensing energy in the first hour, I was instantly aware of a sense I never knew I had! It was exciting, fun, liberating and of course healing. Ever since I’ve been a passionate healer and a few years later, teacher of Natural Reiki. I love Reiki, connecting with self and others and consider it a privilege and an honour to be part of people’s journeys through life.
I studied under Natural Reiki Teacher David Marshall in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, UK and have completed Reiki levels 1 & 2, the Reiki Practitioner and Reiki Master. I practised and taught in Baldock, Hertfordshire alongside being a primary school teacher and mum to two young children.
I now reside in Brighton, UK with my family and am a Reiki Practitioner full time, alongside my role as a Reiki teacher. I practice from my home and other venues, including the Beach! I Reiki all over the world with my distant healing. I continue to learn every day about myself, energy healing and universal energy and am part of a great Reiki share group, which helps to continue and deepen my understanding of self and Reiki.

"Emma provided ongoing support with remote healing to my elderly mother struck down by Covid during her last week of life. I contacted Emma from my mother’s bedside in Finland for distant healing, telling her my mother’s hands and feet were icy cold with poor circulation. Without giving my message to Emma too much thought, I went to hold my mom’s hand ten minutes later again to find it toasty warm. Her feet had warmed up as well and she seemed much more comfortable.
