Distant Reiki session

The beauty of Distant Reiki is you can be anywhere to receive it, at home, on holiday or on a plane! Distant reiki is just as effective as experiencing one in person. It helps if you are in a quiet, comfortable environment. If you can switch off from your surroundings, then any environment is suitable so long as you are not going to be disturbed.

Reiki works regardless of where you are located as universal energy is just that.....universal and is not limited by space, distance or time.

In advance of the session.

It is useful to create a peaceful, comfortable environment where you can sit or lie down ensuring you are warm enough with a blanket to put over you. Use candles, incense or essential oils if you like them to create a relaxing atmosphere. Put your phone on silent and a do not disturb sign up for maximum relaxation. I will send you a reiki music link to focus on during your reiki session. We will establish if you wish to have a consultation to discuss intention via whats app call or video before and after the reiki session. Instead of a call, if you prefer, you can email a photo of yourself, along with your name, age, location and any intention or focus (eg a physical or health issue, goal, emotional, spiritual etc). Having these details help me focus my intent and connection but are not essential to have. There does not have to be an aim, as the energy will go to where it needs to go.

The Reiki Session

After the consultation, I will wait a few minutes for you to sit or lie comfortably, with loose, non-restrictive clothing, turn your phone off and put your music on a timer if possible. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, three times. Focus on listening to the music and tell your busy mind it is not needed right now. Your mind will no doubt pop up with thoughts of work, or your dinner that night etc, this is normal, so congratulate yourself when you are aware of this and gently bring your focus back to listening to the music. It doesn’t matter how many times you have to do this. We will already have established your intention, so you do not need to do anything else. The healing process itself relaxes you and allows your natural processes to function more effectively. During a session the mind unwinds, and you may become aware of the body consciousness going about its business and those difficulties that you may be focussing on and/or that are causing pain, can be lessened immediately. Throughout the session you may experience different sensations like warmth, cold, tingling, lightness, heaviness, emotional release, lessening of pain, clarity, peace or deep relaxation inducing sleep. Every experience is normal and helpful for rejuvenation. These are all part of the process of the body, mind and spirit working together to bring balance.

When your music stops remain rested in that position for a few minutes. When you feel ready, slowly sit up, message me, you are ready and we will complete the session with a brief consultation, where you can share your experiences if you wish and if you wish to hear what I sensed during the session, I will share these too. Falling asleep – It is quite common to fall asleep during a reiki session. Do not worry if this happens. if you wish to hear what I sensed during the session, I can message this to you and vice versa.

After your session, it’s good to drink a glass of water as there has been energy movement. Throughout the following few days take note if you wish, of anything that comes up; you might think of a particular person, something that’s been bothering you that you are ready to address, or you might have some ideas and inspiration drop in.

Every reiki session you experience is different, as the energy works in the moment for that session and what is needed in that present moment for you.

A series of 6 sessions is often recommended. Throughout these sessions you will begin to become aware of your body’s self-healing ability and body consciousness. I will suggest small tasks for you to practice each week if you wish to, to help you ultimately improve your health and life through this self-development. The tasks will be specific to you, gained intuitively throughout each session.
